Oh my darling boy! I can't get enough of this creature! He just barely got back from being...altered...and he is just having the hardest of weeks. Bless his heart, it's only Tuesday.

He wouldn't stop licking himself, so we had to go get him a cone. Doesn't he just tear your heart out? Oh! I could just eat him up!
So I definitely feel like one of those older women who live alone, and whip out a picture of their dog/cat/whatever from my wallet when someone asks if they have any children. Then there's this awkwardness in the conversation because you just want to say, "But that's a dog." Instead you just fawn all over the picture of the pet and further validate the woman's opinion that her animal is her child. However, I am happy to join those ranks! No shame here!
Last Saturday Ammon and I went to the pet store for some more puppy litter (I am pleased to say that my big boy is litter box trained now), and we came out with a rabbit. So now we have Rose, Gill, Evan, and Chester. Chester and Evan aren't getting along too well (I guess it should be obvious that a rabbit is scared of a dog- even if he's bigger than the dog), but we're going to give it a week or so and see what develops. How crazy are we? My oldest brother called me Dr. Doolittle, and my little sister expressed her wishes that Ammon would never die, because then I'd be one of those old maids that hoard every animal on the planet. All I can say is that I'm not quite to the zoo yet. The woman who sold us Chester has two cats, a dog, a bird, two hamsters, and a rabbit. You can relax and trust that I won't go that far.... I hope. If you're wondering why I have so many animals, and in my house no less, I attribute it to the fact that pets were a huge no-no growing up, and now I am exploring the freedom.
