So let me start off by saying that I am not going to be an avid blogger. You could perhaps expect one new entry a month. Maybe. I'm going to try to post the important events in our life for others to read about, but with school and this precious new puppy, my life is thoroughly tied up. I'm not against blogging by any means. I have no qualms about jumping on bandwagons, and it seems the current bandwagon is blogging.
Right now, Ammon and I are considering ourselves "parents," because of the precious little pooch you see. Evan was my surprise for Mother's Day. We already have two dwarf hamsters (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern), but the "parenting" they require is basically zero. They only use us for shelter and food (I guess you could say they are in the typical teenager stage).
I have begged and begged for a puppy since we got married, so imagine my surpise when I wake up from a nap to "Let's go get a puppy!" Bless you Ammon! Evan's a pekinese/chiwawa mix. He is clever to boot, but very selective in what he wants to be clever with (I count myself lucky on the days that potty training falls into his selectivity). His main medium of showing affection is licking (in the ear, up the nose, or on the lips-anything else just isn't good enough). What can I say? I'm just a sucker for those big eyes and little body!
