The Cashore Marionettes

Last night my older brother Aaron took my husband and I to see the Cashore Marionettes. You can check them out at http://cashoremarionettes.com/. When Maestro Janos Zelinka walked on stage, I just about lost it! This wasn't a puppet - it was a real live little old man playing the violin expertly! I laughed at Elmo on the trapeze, Ramul playing with his new toy, and Sara as she "did her homework." Then I cried for Old Mike and sobbed for Maura in her "Last Farewell." Truly these were people with histories, personalities, and aspirations. I can't imagine how rewarding it was to grow up with Joesph Cashore as a father - these people would have been your best friends! I think my favorite performances were "The Quest" and "Last Farewell." One caught me in a fit of giggles and I've already told you I sobbed for Maura. I think I would have dismissed this performance if I had been left to buy the tickets on my own. I am so glad my brother took us, because I had such an uplifting experience through the talents of this man. If you ever get the chance to watch him perform, I urge you take the opportunity! You'll be so glad you did!

  1. Next time when I suggest something, don't doubt me. Just strap down your boobies and do it.
