To us!

I must say that today has been a good day! Not fantastic...not a waste...and not a tragedy. But isn't a good day work celebrating? I got a 97 on my Roman test with a comment (and I quote) "Excellent exam!" Yes, the exclamation mark was included. I was a bit bummed that mine wasn't the high score of 99, but I'm learning to let things go. Then I ate some Slab Pizza with my husband for lunch during devotional. I get so pissed at BYU for closing absolutely everything for devotional, but as my husband said, at least we get the chance to be real college pros- me and my TOMS shoes and us eating at the hot spots.

I fell completely in love with my husband again, walking hand in hand in the cold weather. I can't wait to get home to see my adorable baby dog, who slept with me this morning while I finished up a Mary Higgins Clark book.

Oh she is just so good, and I adore her books! I know that some may turn their noses as commercial literature that carries little, if any, aesthetic or intellectual goals, but I say that's the best kind. When I sit down to read for pleasure, I often love getting lost in the author's words (which happens every time I pick up her books without fail), and that's the mark of a good book to me.

So here's to us, and hoping your day was as good as mine!

  1. Bless you! I'm glad it was a good day, and I hope you choke on your mac 'n cheese tonight because you didn't tell me so. I bet Ammon really loved their extra-crispy crust at Slab Pizza. I'll have to ax you what kind of pizza you had in the morning.
